It was announced recently that Robbie Lawler would be left without an opponent for his Strikeforce return, with Trevor Prangley and Melvin Manhoef under consideration for the fight. Now it looks as though “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler will be fighting Trevor Prangley at Strikeforce: Evolution.
According to MMAWeekly, the proposed fight is “all but signed”, with Prangley expected to sign the bout agreement as early as Monday. Newly signed Melvin Manhoef was speculated to step in against Lawler, but he is slated to face an opponent yet to be named at DREAM vs. Sengoku’s New Year show.
Robbie Lawler is coming into his fight with Prangley on the back of a high profile loss to Jake Shields back in June of this year, where as Prangley comes into the December fight riding a five fight win streak, two of which captured him the MFC and Shark Fight lightweight championships. |
