Former WEC bantamweight champion, Miguel Torres has been lined up to make his return to the cage at WEC 47 on March 6th against the always dangerous, Joseph Benavidez in Columbus, Ohio.
According to both men have been approached over the match-up , with bout agreements expected to be signed and returned in the coming weeks.
Torres hasn’t been seen since he dropped his title in shocking style to Brian Bowles at WEC 42 in August. That fateful night he was dropped in the first round and was never given the chance to recover.
As for Benavidez, he rebounded from his only career loss to defeat Rani Yahya earlier this month. Prior wins in the WEC include Danny Martinez and veteran, Jeff Curran.
