Featherweight, Deividas Taurosevicius continued his winning ways tonight at WEC 46 in Sacramento, California when he picked up a unanimous decision win over Mackens Semerzier on the main card of the evening.

Taurosevicius controlled the opening minutes, rushing the center of the cage before eventually securing the takedown. He towers above Semerzier and kicks at his legs before diving into his opponents guard. Moving to side mount Taurosevicius lands a series of nice elbows before Semerzier recovers guard and looks for a triangle. Both men return to their feet but it’s not long before Taurosevicius lands a nice left hand. Taurosevicius gains another takedown and after a staemate on the ground the referee stands them back up. Taurosevicius looks for yet another takedown but Semerzier stuffs it and threatens with a guillotine.

Taurosevicius scores a nice takedown to begin the second round but the two men soon return to their feet. Yet again Taurosevicius shoots in and takes his opponent down although this time Semerzier almost secures a nice traingle choke. Taurosevicius pulls out and allows him Semerzier back to his feet before pressing him against the cage and going to work with some neat strikes. Eventually Taurosevicius gets another takedown and controls his opponnent from top position. Semerzier briefly threatens with a knee bar as time runs out.

The third round stays standing to begin with and Semerzier begins to find his rhythm, scoring with crisp punches before Taurosevicius has enough and takes him down. Semerzier stuffs it this time but is not so lucky the second time as he’s taken down. Semerzier secures a D’Arce choke which Taurosevicius escapes. Semerzier attempts a rolling kimura which looks to have Taurosevicius in trouble but he can’t get the finish. Semerzier returns to his feet and towers over the grounded Taurosevicius while landing strikes. Semerzier pours it on knowing he needs a stoppage and lands a series of hard hammerfists which cut Taurosevicius. Seconds remain and Semerzier goes for a guillotine which, after a few anxious moments, sees Taurosevicius pop his head out.

Taurosevicius wins the fight via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
