Jardine comes out looking to land the right hand before clinching against the fence. Bader pulls free and lands a hard right hand. Bader soon shoots in a takes the fight to the ground with ease. Bader moves to half guard and looks to mount but it’s blocked by Jardine so instead lands multiple punches and elbows. Jardine looks to sweep but Bader blocks and eventually the referee restarts it standing. Jardine lands a nice right hand with seconds remaining to end the round.

Jardine lands a heavy leg kick to open the second before stuffing a takedown attempt from Bader. The pair clinch against the fence and Jardine lands a nice knee to the body before they split. Jardine stuffs another takedown. Jardine lands a pair of right hands before stuffing another takedown attempt from Bader. Jardine mixes in some leg kicks before eating a big right hand with twenty seconds remaining.

The third round begins with Bader landing a knee in the clinch before “The Dean of Mean” lands one of his own. Bader momentarily gets the takedown before Jardine gets back to his feet. Jardine lands a hard right hand which is answered by one from Bader who drops his opponent to one knee. Bader follows up with a flying knee which punches Jardine against the fence before landing a big left hand which drops Jardine in a heap to the floor.

Despite being a very close fight up to the knockout this is clearly the biggest win of Bader’s career as he goes from strength to strength in the division. A fellow top contender may be next up for the man who trains with the Arizona Combat Sports team. As for Jardine, this latest setback puts him in a tricky situation with the promotion. Will his “balls out” style earn him another shot despite losing his last three fights inside the octagon?
