QUOTE A potentially interesting heavyweight showdown between former UFC champion, Tim Sylvia and former five time World’s Strongest Man, Mariusz Pudzianowski appears to be in the works for an April 23rd MMA event in Worcester, Massachusetts, promoted by Butterbean.
Sylvia seems to be always in the news of late, having seemingly booked to fight Wes Sims in June up in Canada after the Ohio State Athletic Commission vetoed it on an Adrenaline card. “The Maine-iac” returned to winning ways with a first round knockout of Jason Riley in September.
As for Pudzianowski, he made his MMA debut in December, defeating Marcin Najman with ease in the first round. A second fight was seemingly scheduled for May against Robert Paczkow although it appears a fight with Sylvia could come first.
Despite having “freak show” written all over this one, I for one will be looking forward to tuning in if it does turn out to be true. Stay tuned to Test_rko for more news on whether this one comes off or if it’s just a lot of hot air from Butterbean. |
