QUOTE

Former UFC heavyweight champion, Tim “The Maine-iac” Sylvia has decided to withdraw from DREAM 13 on March 22nd after the promotion decided to change his opponent at the eleventh hour.

Sylvia was originally offered Josh Barnett but he flatly refused to face the disgraced former champion. On Thursday he decided to pull out after the promotion decided to make a further change after agreeing an opponent.

Posting via his Twitter page, Sylvia said:

“They wanted me to fight one guy then they tried to switch opponents on me 2 weeks before I fight. Just (expletive).”

Sylvia’s manager, Monte Cox has revealed that the veteran will now concentrate on preparations for his April 23rd showdown with former five time World’s Strongest Man, Mariusz Pudzianowski, before turning his attentions to Wes Sims on June 5th in Canada.
