QUOTE

Strikeforce heavyweight champion, Alistair Overeem is set to climb back into the K-1 ring on April 3rd to take on Dzevad Poturak, just six weeks before he’s due to square off with Brett Rogers for his title on May 15th.

Despite being on a two-fight losing streak, Poturak represents a serious threat to the physical condition of the Dutchman with a number of impressive knockout wins over the course of his career.

The big question is how committed is Overeem to defending his title and making sure he is fully prepared for the challenge that Rogers represents. Another concern for the California based MMA promotion will be if Overeem decides to do a u-turn and decide against a return to the United States. Stay tuned to MMB for more on this as we get it.
